Lend Lease appoints Robert McNamara CEO
Monday March 22, 2010, 12:28 pmProperty company Lend Lease Group has appointed Robert McNamara as chief executive of its American division.
Chief executive Steve McCann said this role confirmed the group's commitment to growth and operational excellence in the Americas.
"The Americas is a strategic region for the group and Bobs appointment is critical to repositioning the American business for growth as the market recovers," Mr McCann said in a statement.
"Building on our existing positions through Actus Lend Lease and Bovis Lend Lease, we see key growth opportunities within development, green building and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and believe Lend Lease is well placed to capitalise on these over time through our integrated offering."
Mr McNamara, who was formerly chief executive of Penhall/LVI International, will start with Lend Lease on 19 April 2010.
In February, Lend Lease reported a first half net profit of $204.9 million.
